Location: Area Learning Center located in Kasson, MN
Workday/Year: Monday-Friday; 7:30am-3:30pm
Duty Days: 186 (approximately)

About Zumbro Education District (ZED): ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include Triton, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, Byron, Hayfield, and Blooming Prairie. ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to www.zumbroed.org for details). The ALC serves at-risk students in grades 6-12 with unique programming. ZED has been in existence for over 30 years and is located in Kasson (MN).
Job Summary: The Area Learning Center (ALC) is looking for a Special Education Teacher who truly wants to change lives. The ZED ALC focuses on student strengths, creative teaching and building strong relationships with students and families. This teacher would work with special education students in grades 6-12 at the ALC. Job duties would include managing a caseload of special education students, ensuring sped student needs are met per their Individual Education Plans (IEPs), maintaining all due process compliance including IEPs/evaluation reports and providing specialized instruction to qualifying students.
Required qualifications: Be licensed by MDE in a special education teaching area for grades 6-12 or working towards licensure at time of employment.
