Position Summary
The Division of Education, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a organized, detail-oriented individual who can workeffectively with others and independently in a multi-task environment. Theprimary purpose of the Medical Education Program Specialist is to ensurecontinuity of key operations and accreditations for a large, complex ACGMEaccredited residency program. Theprogram currently has 108 residents typically encompassing a multitude ofsub-specialties. Under the generalsupervision of the Academic Program Manager, the Education Program Specialistmust work to ensure that all administrative requirements of the residencyprograms are met.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Planningand implementing recruiting activities for the residency program which includesorganizing events, navigating websites involved in the process, datamanagement, and coordination of schedules with multiple faculty and staff
  • Provision of administrative services to the residents
  • Overseesthe establishment and maintenance of clinical rotation schedules, both on and offsite
  • Coordinatesand provides oversight of educational conferences as required by accreditationagencies
  • Develops and provides oversight of personnel files for allhouse staff.
  • Updating and maintaining websites and social mediaplatforms for the residency and fellowships
  • Provides associated administrative support to the Office ofEducation faculty
  • Providessupervision student employees, including work allocation, training performanceevaluation, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problemresolution
  • May also assistwith the coordination and administration of a 4th year medical student program
  • Maintainknowledge of accreditation rules and regulations and help ensure ongoingcompliance with all requirements

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
