Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead the company’s information technology and cybersecurity functions. This position is responsible for the overall direction, security, reliability, and performance of Delta’s technology environment while supporting the needs of employees, leadership, and government customers.

The IT Director will oversee day-to-day IT operations, Microsoft 365 and cloud services, cybersecurity compliance, infrastructure, user support, and technology planning. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs in a growing government contracting environment.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead Delta’s overall IT and cybersecurity strategy, operations, and technology planning.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and related services.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, servers, endpoints, cloud-hosted systems, remote access, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Oversee identity and access management, endpoint security, patching, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity monitoring.
  • Lead and maintain Delta’s CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 compliance efforts, including technical controls, documentation, evidence collection, and assessment support.
  • Support cybersecurity requirements associated with government and classified systems, including RMF, eMASS, DCSA, and related compliance activities as required.
  • Maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, system documentation, inventories, and compliance records.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, account provisioning, equipment deployment, and user support.
  • Manage IT vendors, licensing, hardware and software purchases, renewals, and technology budgeting.
  • Support cybersecurity incidents, audits, customer requests, proposals, and other business requirements involving IT or security.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve security, efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Advise company leadership on cybersecurity risk, technology needs, infrastructure priorities, and future investments.
  • Provide leadership and escalation support to IT staff and external technology partners.
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Progressive experience supporting or managing enterprise IT and cybersecurity environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and cybersecurity requirements applicable to federal government contractors.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government contractors.
  • Experience with Microsoft GCC High or Azure Government environments.
  • Experience supporting CMMC assessments or classified information systems.
  • Relevant Microsoft, cybersecurity, cloud, or networking certifications.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
