Overview
The Program Manager of Learning and Continued Education (CE) assists the Director of Learning and Development as an operational and strategic partner for all learning and professional development programs. In this role, the Program Manager will collaborate with clinicians, department and field leaders in the design, development, and deployment of CE programs, ensuring every offering meets accreditation standards, organizational objectives, and the evolving needs of clinical professionals.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and guide Best Practices, curriculum framework, and standardized processes for all continuing education and non-essential training programs, ensuring alignment and minimizing variation throughout the organization.
  • Partner closely with clinical, operational, and department leadership to ensure CE learning courses are developed, reviewed, and updated in alignment with organizational standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate regular program audits to ensure consistency, accuracy, compliance and relevance across all CE offerings.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and department leaders to identify gaps in the CE curriculum and partner on the development of new course offerings that meet state board requirements and pursue accreditation through recognized bodies
  • Partner with learning operations team to ensure accurate course records, CE credit tracking, and certificate issuance in compliance with regulatory requirements and manage the CE program calendar
  • Track program KPIs (enrollment, completion rates, learner satisfaction, CE credit issuance) and deliver regular reports to leadership with actionable insights.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications
  • BS/BA from an accredited college in related field. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years of related experience including, 3+ years of experience in program management, instructional design, or learning & development.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and subject matter experts to design and implement training or education programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred
  • Experience within healthcare, dental, or regulated professional education environment.
  • Experience with dental CE accreditation processes (AGD PACE or state dental board approval).
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks).
  • Proficiency with a Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders at all levels to co-create programs aligned to organizational initiatives, including clinical excellence, and influence decisions with diplomacy.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and engage effectively with peers, leadership, and the broader Organizational and Talent Development (OTD) team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to gather and synthesize complex information to arrive at sound conclusions, recommendations, and independent decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; maintains rigorous standards for compliance, accuracy, and accreditation documentation.
  • Organized, process-focused, proactive, and customer-service oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively without compromising quality.
  • Results orientation - tracks and reports on program impact with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Self-motivated and reliable; capable of working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community.
