Description
The paraprofessional for the Adult Education Center in Camden will report directly to the Lead Teacher/Coordinator. This person is responsible for assisting the teacher in the classroom, recruiting, and retaining students. This position is part time and grant funded. Continued funding for this position is determined by the availability of state funding and performance. Expected hours 15 - 20 per week.

Examples of Duties
Examples of Duties:
Conducts intake, testing, and orientation with students
Maintain student folders
Assist teacher in the classroom (copies, grading homework, tests, etc.)
Tutor students one on one as needed
Maintain daily, weekly, or monthly attendance
Call students who are absent from class on a daily basis. Keep call or contact log.
Help clean and straighten classroom
Actively participate in recruitment and retention activities
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum education requirement: High School diploma
