Job description

TITLE: Dancer Fellow for the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture
DIVISION: Academic
SUPERVISOR: Associate Director of the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture
TERM: August 2026-May 2027
COMPENSATION: Monthly stipend of $800
I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Dancer Fellow aims to enrich the work of the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture (CFC) in the areas of faith and culture, work, and economics. In particular, the Dancer Fellow will aid in creating, curating, and publishing content on our website. The Fellow will have excellent writing and editing skills. Most of all the Fellow will have an inquisitive and teachable spirit, eager to learn and serve the CFC in its work to present the Christian faith and demonstrating its implications for all areas of human existence.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Writing and Editing

  • Write one publishable blog article per month (minimum)

  • Assist with editing others articles

  • Assist with identifying potential writers

  • Assist with uploading and publishing content

  • Faith and Culture briefings

  • Have finger on pulse of cultural trends, resources, and denominational events

  • Report on these trends in weekly meetings

  • Involvement in CFC initiatives

  • Attend weekly meetings with CFC directors and staff

  • Attend CFC mentorship and occasional events

  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by CFC directors as necessary

III. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Currently working towards Master Degree (or higher)

  • Interest in the intersection of theology, culture, work, and economics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Awareness of trends in evangelicalism and denominational life

IV. EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT
  • Communication with SEBTS faculty, students, guest lecturers, and visitors to the CFC

  • Engagement in special events and annual conference

  • Digital communication with writers for the blog

V. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Normal fitness as required for office duties
