Working Title: Video Coordinator, Duke Men's Basketball

Position Summary: Duke University Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the Video Coordinator, Men's Basketball. The candidate would be responsible for managing the practice and in game video capture, editing, and distribution to meet the needs of the coaching staff.

1 year of experience working with video operations, focus on basketball preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Effective written and verbal communication

Strong organizational and problem solving skills needed

The scope of this position requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours

Thrive in fast paced environment, possess a keen attention to details, and ability to multi-task

Essential Functions:

Serve as the primary point of contact for coaching video requests, ensuring timely delivery of player-specific edits, cut-ups, and customized film

Lead the video team in building comprehensive game-prep materials, including opponent scouting reports, offensive/defensive tendency edits, personnel breakdowns, play-call libraries, and situational film (e.g., end-of-game, ATO, special situations)

Manage the organization of pre-game and post-game reports, personnel sheets, and other coaching resources to ensure the staff is fully prepared for every opponent

Direct the video team during live games in real-time play-call tracking, live coding, statistical logging, and any additional in-game data collection as requested by coaches

Assist the coaching staff with ongoing player development by creating individualized film edits, progress tracking packages and self-scouting materials for roster players

Own the full challenge process: pre-game setup, real-time video review of officiating calls, and immediate delivery of actionable feedback to the coaching staff

Oversee and manage the video interns including task assignment, workflow prioritization, professional development and performance feedback

Conduct forward-thinking research on evolving coaching trends, offensive and defensive schemes, and situational basketball (e.g., end-of-game execution, ATO packages, early-offense actions)

Lead off season projects and track relevant external studies and innovations

Lead the video team in forward-looking evaluation of potential prospects

Assist on court as needed in practice and individual workouts (passing, rebounding, etc.)

Knowledge and commitment of NCAA and ACC rules
