About the Role:

You will lead a team of writers and copy editors responsible for producing, audience-focused content that supports marketing and communications goals across channels. You will ensure that all written content advances strategic goals, strengthens the brand, and inspires engagement and action, while meeting the highest standards for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. You will collaborate with leaders from across our Design, Multimedia, and Experience Management teams. Additionally, you will work with internal subject-matter experts and other partners. Your collaboration will guide editorial strategy and continuous improvement. You will report to the Senior Director - Creative, Content & Publishing and use a hybrid work schedule.

You Will:

  • Lead editorial strategy for written content, ensuring written content across campaigns, programs, and channels is audiencedriven, on brand, and in consideration of business and marketing goals.
  • Manage a highperforming team of writers and copy editors, setting clear priorities, providing feedback, and promoting editorial excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead a team responsible for collaborating with Design, Multimedia, Experience Management, internal subject-matter experts, and other important partners. This collaboration aims to create content that aligns to program goals, audience insights, and messaging strategies.
  • Oversee editorial quality and best practice standards, ensuring all marketing and communications content follows style, tone, accessibility, and editorial guidelines while maintaining appropriate author voice and technical accuracy.
  • Manage and evolve written content workflows and operational processes, balancing creative quality with efficiency to support evolving our needs and delivery across multiple projects and channels.
  • Champion responsible innovation, including thoughtful use of AI and latest technologies and practices to improve the effectiveness, consistency, and scalability of content creation.
  • Provide senior-level editorial leadership for high-visibility, complex, or critical programs. You will ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, brand and campaign strategy alignment and messaging.
  • Maintain and govern the Association Style Guide and editorial standards, ensuring they stay current with brand, best practices, marketing communications strategy, and audience expectations.

You Have:

  • 8 years of experience in marketing communications, content marketing, editorial, or agency environments.
  • 2 years of experience leading writers or editors producing marketing and communications content.
  • Experience supporting campaignbased, audiencedriven written content programs across channels.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
