Electronic discovery can be complicated because it includes both data and metadata. These professionals most commonly work with law firms in litigation to help process complex data. Project Manager

Southeast Christian Church

Louisville, KY โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Summary

Do you love building order out of chaos? Do you get excited when a well-run project comes together — on scope, on time, and with all the right people aligned? Are you ready to put those gifts to work for the local church?

Southeast Christian Church is one of the largest and most missionally active churches in North America, serving approximately 40,000 members across 15 campuses in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. We are united by a singular vision: to unleash the full force of the Church to love people one at a time.

The Project Manager is a core member of SECC's Project Management Team (PMT) — a dedicated team within the Operations Division committed to ensuring SECC's most important initiatives are scoped, planned, resourced, and executed with excellence. This role will manage system-wide operational projects, technology and facilities initiatives, and other high-impact organizational work across our multi-campus family.

What you will be doing:

  • Own the full project lifecycle for assigned system-wide operational, technology, and facilities projects — from charter through formal closure.
  • Conduct structured discovery sessions using the PMT's 21 Discovery Questions to define scope, identify stakeholders, surface risks, and build a signed Project Charter before work begins.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans — ensuring every task has one owner, a due date, and a current status visible to all stakeholders at any time.
  • Run weekly project check-ins with owners and stakeholders, surfacing blockers before they become critical.
  • Provide accurate, honest Red/Yellow/Green project status reports to the Leader of Operations on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Log and manage all scope change requests through the formal PMT change control process — no quiet 'yes.'
  • Identify and escalate resource conflicts, unresolved risks, and leadership decisions needed before they stall progress.
  • Support campus-specific project coordination as needed, ensuring campus-level constraints (staffing, scheduling, local ministry calendars) are reflected in project timelines.
  • Participate in project closure processes — capturing lessons learned, updating relevant templates, and archiving completed projects.
  • Serve as a trusted, collaborative partner to Ministry Leaders, Campus Pastors, and Operations staff — bringing expertise, not oversight.
  • Contribute to PMT framework development, including templates, intake processes, and Monday.com workspace improvements.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • 2–4 years of project management or project coordination experience, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — the ability to track many moving parts without dropping anything.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Asana, Workfront, or similar project management platforms required.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator — able to translate complex project status into straightforward updates for senior leaders.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple campuses and ministry areas, building relationships with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with hybrid project management methodology (Waterfall phase gates + Agile execution principles) preferred.
  • PMP certification, CAPM, or active pursuit preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Our Requirements:

  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.
  • Models staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun.
  • Lives out staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship, and giving.
  • Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantras in tangible ways. https://www.southeastchristian.org/who-we-are#mantras

*Please read our Statement of Faith that is attached below. You will be asked if you agree with our Statement of Faith within the application process.
