Job Duties and Responsibilities

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an on-site eDiscovery Analyst II at our corporate headquarters located in Englewood, Colorado. The Analyst plays a key role on our Legal/ITeDiscovery team (Legal/ITeD), which is a part of the Litigation team within the legal department. This position is full-time, permanent, and salaried with standard work hours. This position has no supervisory duties, requires very little travel, and does not permit working from home. We are looking for someone who can start immediately.

The eDiscovery Analyst II will primarily be responsible for carrying out daily operational tasks within the Company’s technology platforms using a variety of tools and scripts in order to execute and automate legal data preservation and collection associated with the discovery of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). The Analyst will also be responsible for contributing to the implementation of new and on-going technology projects in the Company, and collaborating with various IT teams to ensure that legal priorities are considered in Company technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a liaison between outside counsel and third-party service providers to interpret requests, coordinate collections, track status and deliver ESI and other requested documents
  • Utilize enterprise eDiscovery tools (including Google Vault and Microsoft Purview) to complete and automate preservation and collection tasks
  • Process ESI into third-party eDiscovery platforms (including Spectra by Lighthouse and CS DISCO)
  • Perform and analyze searches in common document review platforms
  • Maintain detailed documentation and tracking of workflows to support defensibility in litigation
  • Maintain case records in the matter management system
  • Monitor and act upon electronic ticketing queue for the Legal/ITeD team
  • Ensure data handling and storage practices align with legal, regulatory, and Company privacy and security protocols
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years experience in a related field; experience in eDiscovery and/or litigation support preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently, under deadlines, and handle multiple projects at once while working in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups
  • Solid Google Workspace and MS Office skills, including advanced Excel skills
  • General familiarity with the application of GenAI tools to automate work
  • Understanding of data transfer protocols and the security around the same for large data sets
  • General familiarity with eDiscovery review platforms (including Relativity and CS DISCO)
  • Computer forensics experience a plus
  • eDiscovery certifications preferred, but not required
  • Basic scripting languages a plus (e.g. PowerShell, Python, SQL and GAM)

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
