Job description

OEM EDI & Customer Service Specialist

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $58k/per year (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 4:30pm (some weekends and overtime)

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced OEM EDI & Customer Service Specialist to help manage customer orders and shipping communications with major automotive manufacturers like Ford, GM, and Stellantis.

In this role, the candidate will make sure customer orders are processed correctly, shipments are delivered on time, and electronic documents are accurate. They will work closely with warehouse, production, and supply chain teams to solve problems, monitor inventory, and keep customers informed every step of the way. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for OEM customers, including Ford, GM, and Stellantis.
  • Process and monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs).
  • Manage customer orders through OEM supplier portals and respond quickly to requests or issues.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure orders ship on time.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with planning teams to help prevent shortages or shipping delays.
  • Resolve shipment, inventory, and order issues while providing excellent customer service.
  • Track customer performance metrics such as on-time delivery and shipment accuracy and help improve results.
  • Work with multiple departments to keep customer orders moving smoothly from production through shipment.
  • Assist with shipping activities and warehouse coordination when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on workload and department needs

 

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience working with EDI and customer service in an automotive manufacturing or supplier environment.
  • Hands-on experience processing EDI transactions and ASNs for Ford, GM, and Stellantis.
  • Experience using OEM supplier portals to manage customer orders and shipments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with inventory, forecasts, shipping schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Must currently live in the San Antonio area.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Nissan and Toyota customers.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with EDICOM, NetSuite, RF-SMART, or Pacejet.
  • Previous experience improving OEM supplier scorecards.
  • Warehouse or shipping operations experience.
