EspriGas brings a modern approach to the $130 billion gas industry by utilizing a network business model to deliver products nationwide. We leverage our unique service and technological capabilities to handle the complex logistical needs of large, multi-site companies through a national network of gas supply partners. Our customers include Fortune 1000 companies across various industries, such as food and beverage, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, etc. Examples include providing medical gas to large clinic chains, pet hospitals, CO2 for top restaurant chains such as Panda Express, and supplying bulk propane to railroad companies. Our industry produces, distributes, and sells atmospheric gases and other specialty products.


Purpose of the Position

EspriGas is a national industrial gas company operating on a network distribution model with a growing portfolio of EDI trading partners across medical, beverage, industrial, and propane verticals. We're looking for an EDI Operations Lead to own the day-to-day health of our EDI function working alongside our existing EDI specialist and offshore EDI support team, managing our support queue, and driving the operational rigor this function needs as we scale.

This is a working role. You'll be in the queue every day. But you're also the person who makes sure the queue doesn't run the team you own the process, the reporting, and the escalation judgment. Over time, this role has a clear path toward owning EspriGas's broader trading partner strategy.

We're actively expanding our trading partner network and working toward deeper supplier integrations order confirmations, order status, and real-time delivery data. The person in this role will have a direct hand in shaping that strategy. If you want to grow from queue ownership into building something, there's a path here.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day EDI queue management triage, prioritization, resolution, and customer communication
  • Operational health reporting weekly queue status, open incidents, customer impact summary
  • Trading partner relationships primary point of contact for mapping issues, document rejections, onboarding new partners
  • SLA definition and enforcement establish what healthy looks like and hold the team to it
  • Escalation judgment know when a technical issue is also a customer crisis and act accordingly
  • Collaboration with ERP, Network, CS and accounting teams on invoice accuracy, item mapping, and integration issues
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with special or cross-functional projects, tasks, and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on EDI experience you know X12 transaction sets (810, 850, 855, 856, 997) and can troubleshoot mapping issues without needing someone to walk you through it
  • Experience with at least one major trading partner network Ariba/SAP Business Network, Oracle Business Network, or similar
  • Familiarity with EDI translators and VAN/AS2/FTP delivery methods
  • Experience with ERP-connected EDI (Microsoft Business Central or Lanham EDI a strong plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a support queue or operations function you've owned SLAs, reported on queue health, and escalated intelligently
  • Strong communicator you can translate a technical EDI failure into plain language for a CS rep or a customer
