The current hosting environment utilizes Windows Server within Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are looking for a seasoned, self-motivated Systems Administrator to join our technical support team. This position will be forward-deployed and integrated directly with the web development team. This role provides dedicated DevOps support to the web team while leveraging the bench strength and backup capabilities of the contract's broader technical support team. Responsibilities: โ€ข Database & Applications: Contribute directly to application and database migration activities.
โ€ข Automation: D evelop scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems.
โ€ข Patching: Deploy updates, IAVA patches, and Anti-Virus updates.
โ€ข Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems.
โ€ข Web Hosting Management: Maintain web application hosting systems including web servers, database servers, and associated development systems (e.g., IIS, WordPress, RDS Database).
โ€ข Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize working knowledge or familiarity with Amazon Web Services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ELB.
โ€ข Reliability: Maintain system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
