They often work in ethical hacking, digital forensics, or cybersecurity consulting roles, ensuring organizations stay protected against cyber threats.

What types of projects or assessments do ECSAs typically work on?

ECSAs are generally responsible for conducting penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and security audits on networks, applications, and other IT infrastructure. They prepare detailed reports of their findings, recommend mitigation strategies, and sometimes assist with remediation efforts. Projects can range from compliance-driven assessments to targeted testing of specific systems or applications, often requiring close collaboration with IT and development teams.
