About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Consultant within Payment Operations joining a team responsible for second level technical and operational support to products within Electronic Commerce Services (ECS) and Instant Payments. This role aligns in our Global Operations team within the Chief Operating Office (COO).


In this role, you will:

  • Support production environment for Electronic Commerce Services (ECS)
  • Resolve complex customer issues related to file formatting, data delivery, and payments detail
  • Evaluate moderately complex business problems and provide technical assistance in identifying automated systems and related procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
  • Review and evaluate moderately complex technical business problems
  • Present recommendations for resolving business problems
  • Exercise independent judgment when developing project budgets, project plans, and schedules
  • Provide information about communication between business and technology teams
  • Work with business user groups to provide training, handle questions, observe user needs, and document results


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology support roles
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Knowledge of EDI - Electronic Data Interchange
  • Knowledge of instant payment processes (Venmo, Zelle, etc)
  • Experience supporting Mainframe applications
  • Knowledge of file formats (IDOC, JSON, NACHA, HTML, etc)
  • Experience in operational support
  • Experience in production environments
  • Experience with data analysis using SQL Queries
  • Experience researching and applying business knowledge to strategic plans
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work on-site at the posted work location
  • Monday - Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm ET, requires flexibility to overtime and coverage as needed
  • Ability to work rotational on-call shifts as needed
