E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a MID Latin America Economic Analyst to join our team in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC in support of the Defense Resources and Infrastructure Office (DRI). DRI's mission is to catalog and analyze military and civilian infrastructure and defense-related resources that underpin a nation's or group's military capabilities-including transportation, logistics, defense economics, energy systems, arms trade, physical vulnerability to weapon effects, defense industries, and the operational environment-to support U.S. and allied planners, targeteers, warfighters, policymakers, partners, and acquisition official.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze defense budgets and related spending to detem1ine force affordability and defense funding and produce all-source, finished intelligence on global defense economics in support of warfighters, policymakers and the acquisition community.
  • Maintains and updates related data in the IC's authoritative database for worldwide defense spending.
  • Conducts research and analysis of foreign economic influence. Responsible for analyzing economic vulnerabilities to identity leverage points and identifying emerging economic issues and their impact on foreign internal stability.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of publicly available economic data.
  • Conduct analysis on the effectiveness of sanctions, international sanctions compliance, and target country's ability to evade or circumvent sanctions; includes analysis on the emergence of evasions methods such as digital and cryptocurrencies and alternate financial systems.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience or 7+years of equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience producing all-source intelligence analysis reports and briefings and input to IC databases
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and IC Databases
  • Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings
  • Knowledge of macroeconomics and financial markets
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance at the appropriate level.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with economic analysis support in the IC macroeconomics
  • Knowledge of data science principles and databases, including SQL
  • Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards
