Position Summary


The Ecommerce Merchandising Coordinator supports the day-to-day management of product content and merchandising. This role works closely with the Merchandising Manager to ensure products are accurately reviewed, prepared, uploaded, and presented on the website.

In addition to core ecommerce merchandising responsibilities, this position may assist with vendor onboarding and coordination, seasonal and vendor-supported promotions, and other cross-functional merchandising initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with product spreadsheets, website content, product images, ecommerce systems, and external vendor information. This position plays an important role in maintaining a polished, accurate, and customer-friendly shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Data and Catalog Support

  • Review vendor product sheets for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Assist with preparing and uploading new products and product updates.
  • Confirm required product information is included, such as titles, descriptions, categories, images, pricing, SKUs, attributes, and specifications.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect product information and communicate needed corrections.
  • Format and organize product data according to Townchest’s catalog standards.
  • Assist with mapping product information into Townchest and marketplace upload templates.
  • Track product uploads, updates, errors, and outstanding vendor information.
  • Perform quality-control checks after products are uploaded to confirm information displays correctly.


Website Content Management

  • Maintain and update product, category, collection, brand, and promotional content across Townchest.com.
  • Assist with creating and updating seasonal collections, featured-product sections, new-arrival pages, and brand features.
  • Review product titles, descriptions, images, and categorization to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Help ensure product images meet Townchest’s quality and formatting standards.
  • Identify outdated, inaccurate, duplicated, or poorly presented content and recommend updates.
  • Assist with scheduling and implementing homepage and category-page content changes.


Ecommerce Merchandising Support

  • Support the Merchandising Manager with daily website merchandising activities.
  • Help organize products within categories and collections based on seasonality, relevance, product availability, and merchandising priorities.
  • Assist with selecting products for website features, promotions, campaigns, and curated collections.
  • Monitor the website for merchandising opportunities, content gaps, and customer experience issues.
  • Confirm featured products are active, available, accurately priced, and linked correctly.
  • Support special merchandising projects, vendor launches, catalog cleanups, and seasonal website updates.


Vendor and Promotional Coordination

  • Assist with onboarding new vendors by gathering required product, brand, account, and operational information.
  • Help track vendor onboarding tasks, required materials, outstanding questions, and launch readiness.
  • Support communication with vendors regarding product content, promotions, launches, and merchandising requirements.
  • Assist with coordinating seasonal, sitewide, and vendor-supported promotions, including gathering offer details, confirming participating products, and supporting website updates.
  • Help maintain promotional calendars, deadlines, product lists, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with merchandising, marketing, and other internal teams to help ensure promotions are implemented accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform other duties and support additional projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience in ecommerce, merchandising, product data, website content, retail, catalog management, vendor coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or errors.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable managing large amounts of product information and completing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks accurately.
  • Strong written communication and basic copy-editing skills.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors and coordinating information across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable learning ecommerce platforms, marketplace systems, and content-management tools.
  • Experience with Shopify, Mirakl, or similar ecommerce platforms is helpful but not required.
  • Experience supporting promotions, vendor onboarding, or product launches is a plus.
  • Basic experience with product images or image-management tools is a plus.
