Job Description
  • 10+ years of total IT experience with special focus on architecture, design, and development of Multi-channel eCommerce and J2EE applications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with various ATG modules such as Commerce, BCC, CSC, CA, and Search
  • ATG-Endeca integration experience
  • In-depth knowledge of various performance optimizations on client side, server side, and database
  • ATG and Endeca upgrade experience (to latest version 11.x)
  • Hands-on experience with SOA including Restful services
  • Knowledge on using various code quality tools like PMD, SONAR
  • Experience working with application servers such as JBoss, and WebLogic
  • Experience working with web servers such as Apache, IBM HTTP Server, IIS, preferably on Apache 2.2+
  • Experience working with Endeca search and experience manager
  • Experience working with ATG REST services
  • Experience working with Oracle 12c database
  • Should have excellent client facing skills and comfortable communicating with senior IT leadership team
  • Ability to work with business users, product managers, QA, Release, UI and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment

  • Works with Cognizant Retail ecommerce customers to enhance the existing architecture, proposing the new alternatives in the areas of security, performance, scalability, better usage of OOTB features of ATG
  • Design reviews and Code reviews from the architectural point of view
  • Ensures the technical quality of project deliverables
  • Evaluating the new frameworks, tools for the better usage in the project
  • Operate independently with minimal direction, set direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Communicating the issues in the project in timely manner with other peer-architects, customer product managers, Customer Management team, QA, Support, Cognizant Offshore team
  • Contribute to the development of reusable components
  • Contribute to the development of eCommerce practice
  • Mentoring of developers and junior architects
  • Keep up to date with latest eCommerce trends and apply them to solve business challenges
