Job description

Java/Websphere Commerce Developer

Participates in requirements gathering, business and system analysis. Design and develop J2EE based e-commerce systems using WebSphere Commerce. Contribute to the overall design and architecture of web applications. Build new features within Client's Websphere Commerce Suite environment. Analyze and diagnose any issues that could adversely impact any functional capabilities of WebSphere Commerce applications. Ensure that our implementations meet the required scalability and reliability required for eCommerce operation. Analyze and diagnose any issues which may impact performance or availability in the eCommerce environment. Analyze and optimize database and core commerce functions for maximum performance.

Minimum 5+ years of IT experience supporting a large production IBM Websphere Commerce Suite ecommerce platform. Strong experience in server-side Java programming including EJB, JSP, JDBC, JAXB and servlets is required. Demonstrated experience working on MVC architecture such as Spring and Struts. Demonstrated Experience with IBM MQ. Demonstrated experience in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS). Has command of SQL and stored procedures and be very familiar in working with at least one database - Oracle, DB2. Experience with Unix Shell scripting. Excellent communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
