Job Description
The Manager, Commerce is responsible for overseeing the successful execution and management of retail media programs, operating as the day-to-day tactical client and retailer POC for select retailer(s), supported and in close collaboration with the Associate Director.
You will be responsible for the full campaign life cycle of retail media campaigns (managed & self-service) across Search and Display, from tactical planning, to set-up, optimization, budget management, reporting and billing, using a combination of native retail platforms, and third-party campaign management tools (Skai/Pacvue) to ensure objectives and KPIs are achieved.
The ideal candidate requires strong team organizational skills, attention to detail and advanced-level eCommerce/retail experience. Our Commerce team works across a diverse range of industry verticals, from SME to enterprise level multi-national clients within the agency. As such, we are looking for an enthusiastic commerce expert with an entrepreneurial approach to continue elevating our Commerce practice and client business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Account Management
  • Primary day-to-day lead for client and partner relationship on select retailer(s), responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient running of relevant retail media programs
  • Attends client and retail partner meetings on ongoing basis, interfacing as needed with middle management level during meetings and presentations, whilst supported by the Associate Director
  • Works closely with key retail media partners to maintain optimal working relationship, and collaborates on new ways to drive client's business at that retailer

Tactical Lead
  • Oversee the client's media investment on select retailer(s) across key eCommerce and omni-channel retail media platforms including (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart...), and retail networks such as (CitrusAd, Criteo, Quotient...)
  • Works closely with the Associate director to develop thought leadership (keep client and wider agency teams reprised of key industry updates & trends) and opportunities that will drive client business results
  • Work with Associate Director to create total business reviews and deliverables (QBRs, Annual Planning, etc.)
  • Be the subject matter expert for your retail specialisms and educate teams and clients on the retail media environment
  • Interfaces with wider strategic planning and investment teams (Programmatic, Search, Social, Video), especially as retail and brand media increasingly overlap
  • Develop a complete understanding of your respective retail client's goals, markets, needs and expectations
  • In close collaboration with multi-team disciplines, support and run complex marketing analysis, such as advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, customer profitability analysis (lifetime value), media mix modelling, conversion attribution analysis and ROI measurement

Leadership & People Management
  • Responsible for managing and developing Senior Analysts and Analysts
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Enable continuous development of Commerce specialists on your team, including marketplace training and certification, as well as account management excellence

Data & Tech
  • Understand all relevant tools for management, reporting, analytics, and competitive analysis (Ex. Skai, Pacvue, Profitero, ComScore, Numerator)
  • Work in conjunction with Associate Director/Director to develop and sell through proprietary Publicis and Spark tools, tech, and frameworks

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company, including client-facing responsibilities
  • 2+ years of hands-on account management experience in online advertising with a focus on e-commerce
    • In-depth experience managing full campaign live cycle from tactical planning, to set-up, optimization, reporting and billing.
    • Experience with self-service Retail Media across one or more of the following retailers required - Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart, Criteo), for both Search and Display channels.
    • Proven capability leveraging retail campaign management tools Skai and/or Pacvue, with Profitero shelf-intelligence/monitoring experience a bonus
  • 1+ years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people within a team environment
  • Knowledge of shopper media is a plus
  • Experience in ecommerce marketing for both brand-building and direct response initiatives
  • Technically strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency, including deep understanding of Excel and similar analytical tools
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, with polished presentations skills a must
  • Desire to work in an industry which is constantly evolving and presenting new and unique challenges

Compensation Range: USD $81,225.00 - USD $116,655.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
