Job description

Job Title: Receiving Associate
Location: Chattanooga
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Receiving Supervisor

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our fast-paced e-commerce warehouse team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately unloaded, inspected, and processed into inventory to maintain a smooth supply chain and support timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:
   Unload inbound shipments from delivery trucks using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
   Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, or purchase orders.
o    Including consistent use of the F6 notes as needed.
o    Including consistent use of the memo function as needed.
o    Proper documentation of packing lists and BOLs as outlined in the SOP.

   Inspect incoming products for damage, defects, or shortages and report any discrepancies.
   Properly label and sort items for storage or cross-docking to other departments.
   Update receiving records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory software.
   Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and staging areas.
   Load the P&D rack positions.
   Due to the importance of putaway over 24 hours, ensure workspace is clear of bins created the previous day.
   Ensure bins are organized and 100% accurate.
   Collaborate with Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams as needed.
   Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
   Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including but not limited to the following: putaway, picking, packing, and cycle counts.

Qualifications:
   High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
   Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
   Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely.
   Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners or WMS software.
   Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
   Good communication and teamwork skills.
   Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.

   Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
   Familiarity with e-commerce operations or fast-paced fulfillment environments.

   Schedule flexibility may be required, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons.
