Job Description

The E-Commerce Sales Associate is responsible for supporting a world-class behind-the-scenes shopping experience for all guests who visit biltmoreshop.com. The Associate provides administrative and operational support for the E-Commerce team by ensuring order information is accurate, assisting with data entry and order processing, coordinating task requests, and maintaining documentation. This role works closely with Marketing, Fulfillment, and Guest Services teams to support day-to-day operations, identify issues requiring escalation, and help ensure projects and guest orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The Associate also assists the E-Commerce Lead Sales Associate with daily operations and provides general support to the E-Commerce and Fulfillment teams, with a strong focus during peak business periods.

The starting pay range for this position begins at $17.09/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Flex: A position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours/year.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
2. Must have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn Biltmore systems, including Shopify, Salesforce, Counterpoint, ShipCompliant, and other retail and e-commerce applications.
3. Must maintain a service-minded philosophy with every internal guest interaction.
5. Maintains general knowledge of Biltmore Shop and product assortment, ensuring the accuracy of product information and other e-commerce data to support a consistent online guest experience.
7. Maintains the status of each e-commerce order to ensure they are kept current and notifies guests of any difficulties or delays with their order.
8. Enters all phone and shop orders to meet monthly deadlines for wine compliance and tax reporting.
9. Assist with researching "open orders" and releasing them as needed.
10. Provide general assistance and support for the Retail Department, E-Commerce, and Fulfillment Departments as needed.
11. Must have the ability to work independently and within a team.
12. Assist the Marketing, Fulfillment, and Guest Services teams with products and inventory requests as needed.

13. Provide administrative support for e-commerce initiatives by submitting task requests, tracking project timelines, maintaining documentation, assisting with process coordination, and escalating issues as appropriate.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education, training, and/or certification(s) preferred.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in retail sales or other similar guest service setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a high-end retail or e-commerce shopping environment.
3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class internal and external guest service.
4. Ability to employ active listening skills is a must; should be familiar with and/or able to quickly learn suggestive selling techniques and best practices.
5. Solid computer skills; should be proficient in Microsoft Office, the internet, and able to quickly learn Biltmore's point of sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems. Knowledge of Shopify, Salesforce, and FedEx Ship Manager software is preferred, as well as basic knowledge of Excel.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to clearly, concisely, and effectively convey information verbally and in writing.
7. Strong organizational and management skills with a keen attention to detail and quality; must be able to prioritize work effectively in a dynamic environment.
8. Must be proactive, able to take initiative, and able to exercise good judgment.
9. Must maintain a service-minded philosophy with every internal and external guest interaction.
10. Must have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn Biltmore software, along with a clear, concise, and professional email communication style.

1. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
2. Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
3. Ability to visually identify products, color recognition, and distinguishing features.
