You will be joining a talented team thatmonitorsand maintains a variety of air and water quality systemspertaining totheField Technician.In thispositionyou will provide customers with problem solving support, generatinga high levelof customer satisfaction.

HowYou'llMake an Impact:

  • Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processesin accordance withestablished procedures

  • Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and datain accordance withcompany and regulatory requirements

  • Perform dailyprocess application quality analysisusing small intricate parts

  • Provide routine and special application service support to customers

  • Execute required chemistry tests

  • Log and report data

  • Maintain product inventories

  • Provide technical support to customers

  • Troubleshoot andmaintainsystems as needed

  • Use a fluke meter to check sensitivity

  • Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks

Position Details:

  • Location:Hammond, Cleveland Cliffs Indiana Harbor, East Chicago, IN

  • Work week and Shift: Rotating shift work 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working independently in an industrial setting

  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude

  • Previousexperience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance

  • Mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g.plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience)

  • Strong customer service skills; proven ability tointerfacepositively and professionally with the customer

  • Analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Previousexperience explainingresults of data gatherings

PhysicalRequirements of Position:

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high

  • Wearing and usinga respirator under certain conditions

  • Working in a variety of conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing

  • Working indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $42,000-$63,000. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
