Manufacturing Engineer - Indianapolis, IN

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing process engineering applications and improvements in the manufacturing facility with primary focus on metal surface finishing systems.
  • Will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, OpEx, Automation teams to support plant KPI and CapEx execution.
  • Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot and improve decorative nickel chrome, copper (acid and alkaline), alkaline zinc, ecoat, architectural anodize & powder coat processes.
  • Use Autocad or equivalent CAD tools for layout and tooling design
  • Applyproblem solving and testing skills in analytical lab environment.
  • Plan and coordinate technical design and implementation of finishing systems.
  • Design, develop and implement process improvements for all finishing systems
  • Work with coatings lab technicians, maintenance technicians, process engineering staff and vendors in a collaborative team environment.
  • Run, troubleshoot and train on coatings analytical lab equipment.
  • Maintain work instructions for process, lab, and supporting operations.
  • Provide projectleadership from concept identification, design, build and final life cycle support.
  • Understand plant FESOP and WWT permits

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years of strong Manufacturing Engineering related experience
  • Proven track record in controlling, improving and implementing multiple finishing processes
  • Knowledge of relevant OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.
  • Experience in Metal Surface Finishing is preferred.
