The Role at a Glance
Lead Complex Engagements: Direct full-cycle EBP audits (planning to report issuance) for retirement and welfare plans, ensuring seamless compliance with ERISA, GAAP, and DOL requirements.
Develop & Mentor Talent: Supervise, coach, and guide audit seniors and staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Build Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors, administrators, TPAs, and recordkeepers while managing specialist resources.
Drive Process & Growth: Implement modern audit methodologies, improve efficiency, and contribute to business development initiatives and proposal writing.
What We're Looking For
Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience: 5+ years in public accounting with a heavy focus on Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audit experience (specifically 401K, ESOP, 403b, 11k, Taft-Hartley, and Union plan audits).
Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of ERISA, AICPA standards, and Department of Labor reporting (Form 5500).
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing engagements, delegating effectively, and mentoring staff.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced degree is a plus).
