  • At least two years experience in a clerical role; healthcare preferred

As an Intake Registration Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting recovery for individuals and families served. At Easterseals MORC, we provide Same Day Access to Intake which means that individuals and families who are seeking access to services may walk-in (or virtually sign-in) the same day they request services. You will actively engage with individuals and families seeking mental health services, offering a welcoming and supportive intake experience.
You will have the role of greeting individuals and families as they check in for same day access intake appointments, both in-person and virtually, providing information about available services, beginning the intake process by helping individuals and families with intake forms and self-assessments, and instilling a sense of hope. You will also assist these individuals and families as they check out from the intake experience by scheduling next appointments. Your responsibilities will encompass community inclusion activities, advocacy, education, and various direct services aimed at enhancing the intake experience of our individuals and families served.
  • Assist individuals through their intake process including the check-out process by scheduling next appointments.
  • Enhances engagement and outreach of new individuals and families by providing a welcoming, supportive intake experience and offering smooth transition from an individual's first access point for services to intake appointment and to ongoing program services.
  • Direct services may include outreach and engagement in the office or virtually. It may also include, linkage to community supports, coordination with community partners, in-home services, and advocacy.
  • Attends team meetings and receives assignments from supervisor, team leader or designee. Assists team and staff in identifying program environments that are conducive to recovery; lending their unique insight into mental illness or dual diagnosis and what makes recovery possible.
  • Educates new individuals and families on EM service array and person-centered planning process, often during same day access to intake. Promotes client decisionmaking and assists consumers in determining goals and objectives that will help reach recovery.
  • Assist consumers in obtaining services that suit their individual recovery needs.
  • Completes the intake pre-session process which includes a series of registration and intake forms to assist with the intake process.
  • Reports and documents service activity according to Easterseals MORC's Operations Manual, Medicaid Provider Manual and Michigan Mental Health Code.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
  • Willingness to support and assist consumers with trauma related issues
