This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for Coordinator – Charter Operations (NEP) 

General

This is an FLSA exempt, not eligible for overtime, full-time position. This position includes coordinating all ground handling, catering, fueling, airport permits, and all related functions in accordance with contract specifications and requirements, and will require travel on certain of the trips to ensure flawless service and schedule integrity.  The successful candidate will find tremendous personal enjoyment and fulfillment in coordinating activities against demanding requirements.

The Ground Operations Specialist at Eastern Airlines is responsible for the planning of charter flights for origin to destination. The Charter Coordinator Specialist set up, but not limited to, ground handling, catering, landing permits, crew ground transportation, fueling at airports within the charter mission around the world.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Be the operational point of contact and subject matter expert at Eastern Airlines for charter flights.
  • Set up ground handling, catering, landing permits, ground transportation, fueling at destination airport.
  • Anticipatepossible chartermission issues and develop a backup plan for potential high-risk problems or issues within the flight plan.
  • Prepare effective/timelycontingency plans to recover from services disruptions due to weather, ATC, mechanical issues, etc.
  • Assuresstandard work is consistently performed throughout each flight segment of a chartermission isfollowing FAA/TSA regulations.
  • Work with Safety and Security to ensure compliance and adherence to federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitors the status of all planned flights and flights in progress from the point of origin to destination (flight following).
  • Communicate efficiently and provide most up-to-date informationin a timely mannerto external and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with external stakeholders (Clients, DOD, Brokers, etc.) to understand their operational charter needs.
  • Communicate efficiently and provide most up-to-date information to internal stakeholders (SOC, charter sales, etc.) to inform and create awareness to all groups of priorities unique for each trip.
  • Responsible for assuring and implementation of safety initiatives, on-time operational performance, IROP management and recovery plans within the charter mission segments.
  • Work closely with directmanagerand operationalgroupto ensure the charter program meets the operational goals of our charter customers and business goals of the airline.
  • Work closely with the Charter Sales team toaccomplishthepricingcommercial goals.
  • Carry out processes and workflows to continually enhance the charteroperations’procedures and defined level of service.
  • Collaborates with co-workers across the organizations to develop/implement/realize organization strategicobjectivesof charter flight and the airline.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Ground Operations.

Education, Qualification and Requirements: 

  • 4-year degree fromaccrediteduniversity or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledgeableof FAA and TSA Regulations.
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, fast pace, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, andmaintainflexibility.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude andstrongdesire for success.
  • Will to work nights, weekends and off hours ifrequired.
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet operational priorities and workassignmentsdeadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • 2+ years in commercial airline / charter flights operations or similar relevantexperience .
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Operates at the highest levels of integrity, tackles problems with ingenuity, constantly pursues excellence, and exercises kindness in all interactions.
  • Ability to communicate and understand needs from stakeholders across the organization.
