As a Technical Producer, you will be overseeing the production needs for the teams responsible for Security, Build & Release, and Online Services.
Reporting to the Lead Producer, you will be accountable for collaborating with partners to execute the planning, scheduling and deliverables for our infrastructure and live service operations. You will act as a bridge builder between technical disciplines and broader development teams to support all ongoing initiatives and emergent production needs.
Responsibilities
• Production Leadership: Act as the Production lead, ensuring the timeliness of deliveries for game servers, online services, and security initiatives from concept to completion.
• Planning: Collaborate with leadership to track, and manage schedules with clear, actionable goals, ensuring that internal initiatives keep pace with seasonal content demands. Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking in Jira, including initiatives, epics, and task-level progress.
• Risk & Mitigation: Proactively support resolution of risks, including security vulnerabilities and online services issues, and facilitate effective mitigation strategies.
• Process Improvement: Drive for consistent and organized processes while actively partnering with other Producers to eliminate bottlenecks and blockers in the release process.
Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in game production, with a focus on technical operations, live services, security or equivalent.
• Expert communication skills: The ability to "speak the language" of game development and translate complex technical needs into manageable updates for non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptive Problem Solving: A "doer" mindset with the ability to identify improvements and own them from start to finish.
• Collaboration: Expert ability to work in the "gray" and influence without authority, especially when balancing emergent needs against feature development.
• Live Service Expertise: Experience managing the daily tracking of tasks and initiatives in a live environment, ensuring that schedules are adjusted whenever necessary to maintain uptime.
• Conflict Resolution: Mentoring skills to help team members and production colleagues effectively deal with high-stakes conversations.
• Passion: A passion to leverage current and future technologies applied to production process efficiencies at scale. Passion for games and an interest in Apex Legends.
Pay Transparency - North America
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$153,700 - $233,600 USD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
