They respond to 911 calls, assess patients’ conditions, administer basic life support, and transport patients safely to healthcare facilities. EMT Drivers work closely with paramedics and other medical professionals to ensure timely and effective medical care. Their responsibilities also include maintaining ambulance equipment and keeping accurate records of their interventions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an EMT driver?

To thrive as an EMT Driver, you need strong emergency medical knowledge, a valid EMT certification, and a clean driver's license with specialized training in emergency vehicle operations. Familiarity with ambulance equipment, GPS navigation systems, and patient care reporting software is also important.
