Job description

Project:  Comprehensive EHS, Energy and Resilience Audit
Summary:

The EHS Auditor will be working with the designated team to execute a comprehensive audit of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company and their two selected facilities in Puerto Rico, focused on evaluating the management system in the areas of Environment, Occupational Health, Safety, and Organizational Resilience. The audit is planned to take place during the first week of November 2026. This resource will report to the CIS International EHS Lead Auditor.
Scope of Work:
The scope of the audit should consider the assessment of compliance with the following frameworks:
  • Applicable legal and regulatory requirements (including, but not limited to, the Occupational Safety and Health Act and 29 CFR 1910 of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
  • Internal corporate requirements
  • Applicable international standards, including:
    • ISO 14001
    • ISO 45001
    • ISO 50001 
    • ISO 22301.
The audits may include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of the following elements:
  1. Legal compliance
  2. Corporate requirements
  3. Internal procedures
  4. Risk analysis and HIRA
  5. Environmental aspects and impacts
  6. Energy performance (San Germán only)
  7. Occupational safety and health
  8. Waste management
  9. Handling of hazardous substances
  10. Training programs
  11. Incident investigation
  12. Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  13. Objectives, goals and indicators (KPIs)
  14. Document and record control
  15. Emergency preparedness and response
  16. Organizational structure, roles and responsibilities
  17. Management Review Process
  18. Compliance with the internal procedure “Business Continuity Plan and Resilience Management”, including the evaluation of requirements related to business continuity, emergency preparedness and organizational resilience, ensuring alignment with the principles established in ISO 22301, even when the organization does not maintain formal certification under said standard.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor´s degree in Science or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of direct related experience in Environmental management, EHS audits, ISO compliance for regulated industries like pharmaceuticals or medical devices
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English
Work Methodology:
  • Professional services agreement
  • Part time job of approx. 2 weeks; 80-100 hours
  • Locations to be audited: San German and Maricao, PR
  • Travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be considered in a reimbursable method (expense report and receipts are required)
  • Expected project execution date: Oct. 28-30, 2026 Pre Work, Nov. 2-6, 2026 Audit execution, Nov. 9-11, 2026 Report preparation
