What is the difference between Eds vs Electrical Technicians?

AspectEdsElectrical Technicians
Required CredentialsTypically requires a degree in electrical engineering or related fieldUsually requires a diploma or certificate in electrical technology or apprenticeship
Work EnvironmentDesign, testing, and development in labs or officesInstallation, maintenance, and repair in industrial or commercial settings
Industry UsageCommonly used in engineering firms, manufacturing, and researchFound in construction, utilities, and maintenance services

Both roles are essential in the electrical industry but differ in responsibilities and credentials.

What are some common challenges faced by editors when managing multiple projects simultaneously?

Editors often juggle several projects at once, each with its own deadlines, stakeholders, and content requirements. A key challenge is maintaining high editorial standards and accuracy while meeting tight turnaround times. Effective communication with writers, designers, and other team members is essential to keep projects on track. Editors also need strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting editorial calendars. Building efficient workflows and using editorial management tools can help overcome these challenges.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an EdS, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Education Specialist (EdS), you need advanced knowledge in curriculum development, educational assessment, and instructional strategies, typically supported by an EdS degree and teaching certification. Familiarity with learning management systems, data analysis tools, and special education software is often required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills help you collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and administrators. These competencies ensure the design and implementation of effective educational programs that meet diverse student needs and promote academic success.

What is an EdS?

Eds typically refers to 'Education Specialists' or 'Educational Specialists,' who are professionals with advanced training in education, often holding a specialist degree (Ed.S). They work in schools, districts, or educational organizations to develop curricula, support teachers, implement educational programs, and address student learning needs. Eds may also focus on areas such as special education, counseling, leadership, or instructional technology. Their role is to enhance educational outcomes by applying research-based strategies and supporting both students and educators.

Job description

Job Title: AEM EDS Architect

Locations: Plainsboro, NJ (Onsite/ Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Note: Any visa is fine with genuine experience.

Job Description:

Role Summary: Owns the end-to-end technical architecture for the hybrid AEM EDS platform, defining the Hub Block Library structure, integration patterns, region-locked delivery design, and the hub-and-spoke governance model across all 10 in-scope sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the target architecture for AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS) across Genmab''s 8 public sites, including Content Bus / Code Bus design and multi-site/multi-region structure.
  • Design the Hub Block Library governance model — the sync mechanism between hub and spoke repos, PR-based propagation, and branch protection standards.
  • Architect integration patterns for Salesforce (CRM/Health Cloud), SFMC, OneTrust, GA4/GTM, DocCheck/OneKey, Coveo, and IRMS MAX Web/Veeva PromoMats.
  • Define the region-locked delivery architecture (Fastly service + shield configuration per region) to satisfy EU-in-EU/US-in-US data residency requirements.
  • Own the technical boundary and handoff design between AEM EDS.
  • Produce reference architecture diagrams, target-state documentation, and technical decision records for client and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical governance oversight through Discovery, Build, and Hypercare.
  • Act as primary technical point of contact for Genmab''s platform/InfoSec teams on architecture questions (e.g., instance strategy, data residency mechanics)
  • Guide the AEM EDS Lead Developer, Admin, and Frontend roles on implementation standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 14+ years in enterprise web/CMS architecture, including 2+ years hands-on with AEM EDS.
  • Deep understanding of composable/JAMstack architecture, Git-based CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and CDN/edge delivery (Fastly or equivalent)
  • Experience architecting multi-site, multi-region platforms with region-specific compliance and data residency requirements.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (Experience Cloud, Health Cloud), OneTrust, GA4/GTM integration patterns.
  • Experience in regulated industries (pharma/life sciences preferred)—including understanding of MLR approval workflows, HCP-gating, GDPR.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills—able to present architecture decisions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Prior experience with hybrid CMS/DXP transitions (e.g., legacy platform to modern composable stack) a strong plus.

Nice-to-Have:

  • AEM as a Cloud Service (headful) experience, to bridge decisions across the hybrid EDS + AEM Sites model.
  • Experience with Universal Editor / document-based authoring models.
  • Prior experience in a hub-and-spoke or multi-region governance operating model.
