As an Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer III, you will lead the design, development, and testing of sophisticated RF systems for advanced aerospace and defense applications. You will have a significant impact on RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling, and microwave path analysis, ensuring the delivery of high-performance products.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) analysis

  • Compile an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Integration Analysis Report (E3IAR)

  • Compile an Electromagnetic Interference Control Plan (EMICP)

  • Compile Electromagnetic Interference Test Plan (EMITP)

  • Compile Electromagnetic Interference Test Report (EMITR)

  • Support TEMPEST control plan and test plan creation

  • Support High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) analysis

  • Perform Co-site analysis

  • Support MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-461 requirements allocations

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in RF/E3 engineering or a related role.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Proficiency in RF/E3 design and testing techniques.

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices, including various RF/E3 modeling, analysis techniques, and tools.

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with advanced RF/E3 simulation tools.

  • Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.

  • Knowledge of industry standard RF principles as they apply to design, analysis, and test.

  • Understanding of techniques to perform RF analysis such as Co-site, E3 integration, link budgets, and antenna patterns.

  • Experience with analysis software applications such as ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS EMIT, ANSYS SAVANT/SBR+, CST, EMA3D EMC+ /Charge+, Python and MATLAB.

  • Capable of developing substantiation documentation to demonstrate compliance to related requirements and industry standards to include test plans/reports, analysis documents, and compliance checklists.

  • Experience with RF test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Generators.

  • Knowledgeable of industry standard RF assemblies and component selection and developing technical specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

  • Analyze failure data, reports, and root cause analysis to identify and document issues accurately.

  • Evaluate different approaches to failure analysis and selecting the most appropriate methods for effective resolution.

  • Make informed decisions based on data and analysis to recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, failure analysis reports, and computer screens accurately.
