  • Perform schematic capture using Altium and potentially OrCAD or DxDesigner
  • Apply EMC mitigation techniques and conduct EMC testing
  • Perform signal integrity simulations
  • Bring up circuit boards
  • Use laboratory equipment such as power supplies, function generators, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and specialized probes
  • Execute tests, including generating test cases, performing test execution, and reporting results
  • Debug hardware issues, identify root causes, and provide detailed analysis
  • Apply verification methodologies and standards relevant to the space industry
Requirements
  • Experience designing high-speed digital boards with signals greater than 1 GHz, including DDR, FPGAs, and networking
  • Experience with Altium schematic capture
  • Experience with EMC mitigation techniques and testing
  • Signal integrity simulation experience
  • Experience with Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, Vitis, and Versal
  • Experience with Xilinx and/or Altera devices such as Kintex, Artix, Zynq, Cyclone V, Cyclone V SoC, Stratix, and Arria
  • Experience with Vivado and/or the latest version of Quartus
  • Schematic capture experience with OrCAD, DxDesigner, or Altium
  • Experience with signal integrity tools such as HyperLynx is a plus
  • Power integrity simulation experience is a plus
  • FPGA design and toolset experience is a plus
  • Experience bringing up circuit boards
