Dura-Line is hiring for a 2nd Shift Tape Operator in Elyria, OH at our Sugar Lane location.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:15pm.
About the Role: To maintain continuous high-quality product from beginning of weaving process to completion of the product on reel. Safely and efficiently operate all tape producing machinery according to work instructions and training expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor parameters and adjust the Loom/Printer to ensure quality.
  • Ensure the tape print line is maintained according to the Quality Manual.
  • Ensure tape remains within tolerance.
  • Perform line changes, setup, and changeover activities.
  • Document dimensions and inform the lead or supervisor of quality or production changes.
  • Load and maintain raw materials on reels.
  • Understand yarn types and their applications.
  • Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Report unsafe conditions or broken equipment.

Requirements:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Around 1 year of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and perform basic math.
  • Material handling or forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move around obstacles and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
  • Comfortable working around machinery.
  • Ability to climb, reach, squat, and bend.
  • Ability to work in noisy conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a nonclimate-controlled environment.

The compensation for this position is typically start at $19.84/Hour plus $1.00 shift premium.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
