Job Description Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire & Contract to Direct Location: Sterling Heights, Warren, Shelby Township MI Shifts Available: All Shifts We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a growing Tier 1 automotive supplier. Job Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency across production processes.

The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems while participating in continuous improvement efforts and root cause analysis. Key Responsibilities: Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on injection molding machinery and related equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Read and interpret schematics, prints, and diagrams Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely Support safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout, OSHA standards, and machine guarding requirements Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation Train and mentor technical personnel as needed Support ISO/IATF quality management system requirements Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude Proficiency in troubleshooting sensors (optical, inductive, capacitive), motors, transformers, power supplies, relays, contactors, etc. Experience with: Injection molding machine maintenance Heater and valve gate controls Thermolators Pneumatic and hydraulic systems General machine safety and guarding devices Preferred Additional Skills: PLC and HMI hardware/software experience Networking and database operations Servo and variable frequency drives Robotics and vision system setup/programming Education & Experience: Associate's Degree or technical coursework in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred Minimum of 5 years of hands-on machine repair and maintenance experience Benefits: Health care benefits starting Day 1 Sign-on bonus Holiday pay and vacation pay Dental, vision, and prescription coverage Life insurance and disability coverage (STD/LTD) Tuition reimbursement Wellness and fitness reimbursement Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Referral bonus program Apply today to join a dynamic team with opportunities in both Sterling Heights and Shelby Township, MI.
