As a Security Officer, you'll help support this mission by providing necessary security and transportation services for a safe environment for those who live and work at The Forest at Duke.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid NC Driver's license (must be able to drive community vehicles)..
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and thorough reports, including daily activity and incident logs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work exterior posts in inclement weather.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls from residents, vendors, team members and follow department procedures to properly handle the situation.
  • Basic typing skills & computer knowledge.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.
  • Must be able to maintain positive and professional relationships and interactions with residents, guests, vendors, contractors and staff.
