COMPENSATION RANGE: 20,000.00 - 20,000.00 USD per year

Position Summary:
The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards of excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs. The program is concerned with the physical and mental welfare of the student and strives to ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to succeed academically and obtain a degree. Sport programs are a vital function of the University at large. This position is responsible for the assisting in the successful planning, direction and administration of all aspects of the University's NCAA Division I Program.
Job Duties:Assist in developing, directing, and advancing a successful Division I Basketball program.
Assist in the planning and conducting of practice and training sessions (pre-season, traditional and non-traditional training segments, off-season and summer).
Assist in development of student-athletes.
Lead and motivate student-athletes to maximize their potential.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, adherence, and commitment to all NCAA, Conference, State, and Institutional rules and regulations.
Assist with the cultivation of a team culture that ensures appropriate and acceptable student behavior.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred
Combination of Division I collegiate men's basketball coaching experience preferred
Knowledge of NCAA rules required.
Salary & Timeline:
$20,000 Total
Term: September 1, 2026 - May 31, 2027
Benefits:
Benefits available include health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement plans for all full-time positions. Employees at UNC receive sick leave, and other leave options may be available based on position. Full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition waiver benefits, as well as dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
