Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a travel contract at a pediatric hospital in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Details
- Position is in a Level IV NICU at a pediatric specialty hospital
- Includes a BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU with an average patient length of stay of 2-3 years
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00โ19:00)
- Float requirement includes PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, Med/Surg, and on rare occasions the ED
- May also float to other campuses, including Riverside, St. Ann's, Grant Medical, Dublin Methodist, and Doctors Hospital
- Appropriate unit assignments are provided when floating to other specialties
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years total Level III/IV NICU experience required
- Comfort with frequent trach care and heavy family/parent involvement
- Willingness to float to multiple units and campuses as needed
- 2 manager or supervisor-level references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
- Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the last 2 years
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- This position involves a two-part interview process: an initial screening with the Float Pool Leader within 24โ48 hours, followed by a secondary review by the NICU unit manager
- The unit manager will review any requested time off (RTO) as part of the interview process
- Floating is a core expectation of this assignment across both units and campuses
- Attendance and punctuality are taken very seriously at this facility
