Description

Position Summary: Warehouse operation support and transportation management.


Role Description: Process and maintain inventory, shipments, transportation arrangements, and ERP/WMS/TMS data management. Monitor and troubleshoot warehouse inventory using ERP/WMS. Provide warehouse and shipping activity reports as required. Work in Transportation (TMS). Process the loads / oversees the cycle of shipments. Responsible for making sure the pickup / delivery on time and the service quality. Make sure to process the delivery and / or warehouse system efficiently and safely, with a reasonable rate. The ideal candidate will be able to work both individually and in a team environment, have impeccable attention-to-detail, strong communication skills, and an understanding of Logistics/Supply chain related functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs data management through a combination of data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis and/or problem analysis; while executing day to day processes related to area of responsibility.

Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, ERP, TMS, and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Manage central and regional warehouses with WMS.

Monitor daily warehouse reports and process necessary transactions in SAP and WMS on RMA/damage/block/unblock for consistency.

Resolve warehouse, production, and sales team collaboration issues that may arise.

Conduct warehouse inventory audits and inspect damaged products.

Update all transactions in SAP and WMS regarding inventory discrepancies.

Manage all warehouse equipment usage (tractor / forklift hours) and lease renewals; assist in procurement / negotiations on new leases for equipment.

Create and analyze reports to support business execution.

Supports the business and maintains reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs.

Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to convey updates on issues and operational status during daily/weekly reviews.

Manage irregularities : delays and claims, damage/lost in transit

Support on logistics cost analysis

Maintain proper and accurate Pre-Shipment and Post-shipment Administration : Track and trace, IOD and POD, shipment issue(damage, short or missing), Evaluates, records, and responds to additional/special service requests from CSR or Customers, handle damage and loss claim and assists in troubleshooting and resolving irregular service and operational issues

Work directly with carrier to resolve any transportation related issues, develop new carriers, and manage all modes such as FTL, LTL, and DTL.

Monitor, work, and report irregular and exceptional issues for related departments such as sales team and PM teams for transportation operation support.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:


Education and Work Experience:

Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred but not required.

Experience with ERP/SAP/TMS is preferred.

1-6 years of relevant experience will be considered.


Knowledge and Skills:

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, etc.) and major MS Office Suite.

Ability to multi task and prioritize duties assigned.

Basic knowledge of economics and accounting.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Management of financial resources.

Time management skills.

Physical Demands:

Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer for at least 3/4 of time.

Position requires regular and reliable attendance.

Position requires travel up to 10% of time.
