JOIN THE DSI MANAGEMENT TEAM

DSI Management, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Financial team. This position is

ideal for an accounting professional with strong experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, fixed assets, taxation, audit support, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and posting general ledger entries, maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing account activity, and preparing monthly financial reports for assigned companies. This position provides accounting support to the Accounting Manager and assists with the financial, regulatory, reporting, budgeting, and audit requirements of DSI Management and the facilities it manages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare account detail schedules and reconcile trial balance, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including Days Cash on Hand and Debt Service Coverage Ratios (DSCR).
  • Prepare Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports and other reports required by regulatory agencies, governing bodies, and mortgage holders.
  • Calculate monthly management and participation fees based on applicable agreements.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets for assigned companies.
  • Support accounts receivable (A/R), billing, and spreadsheet reconciliation processes.
  • Review and approve accounts payable (A/P) activity and general ledger coding before posting.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets, forecasts, financial analyses, and special projects.
  • Coordinate documentation and financial information for internal and external audits.
  • Review resident files, prepare applicable refunds, and maintain supporting records.
  • Prepare and reconcile sales tax and other required tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper accounting records, reports, schedules, supporting documentation, and files.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Experience: Minimum of six years of accounting experience required, including experience with general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, account analysis, payroll, taxes, and fixed assets.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including experience with:

  • SUMIFS
  • IF Statements
  • Conditional Formatting
  • Macros
TESTING REQUIREMENT

Candidates selected to move forward in the hiring process will be required to successfully complete Microsoft Excel and accounting skills assessments to demonstrate proficiency in the technical competencies required for the Senior Accountant position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's degree in Accounting preferred.

Experience: Previous healthcare accounting experience preferred. Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reporting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation, and audit support is beneficial.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Strong experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, account analysis, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, tax reporting, audit support, and advanced Microsoft Excel. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, accuracy, confidentiality, and time-management skills.

WORK CONDITIONS

Professional indoor office environment with frequent computer use. Team members will work with electronic and paper financial records, reports, spreadsheets, and filing systems and must maintain accuracy, organization, and confidentiality. The role involves extended sitting, occasional physical activity up to 10 pounds, and additional hours as business or reporting needs require.
