Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and hands-on Territory Sales Representative to grow our Route Sales and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment and enjoys a combination of sales, merchandising, and operational responsibilities.
You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, delivering and merchandising products, and supporting team development within your territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to drive growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Identify new sales opportunities and expand existing accounts
  • Provide product knowledge and solutions tailored to client needs
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance updates

Operations & Merchandising
  • Load, transport, and deliver products to customer locations
  • Merchandise products on shelves and displays to company standards
  • Perform store resets and ensure optimal product placement
  • Maintain inventory and support warehouse operations as needed

Team Support & Leadership
  • Train and mentor DSD sales reps and merchandisers
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to assigned team members
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to meet territory goals

Customer Service
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through ongoing communication
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of DSD, route sales, or retail experience (required)
  • Strong merchandising knowledge and ability to train others
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a medium-duty box truck (~20 ft)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move products up to 60 lbs regularly
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles without assistance
  • Frequent driving, standing, bending, and lifting
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and non-climate-controlled environments
Work Schedule & Travel
  • Early morning start times, including predawn hours
  • Route-based travel with occasional overnight stays
  • Must be willing to support other territories as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Residence near the center of the assigned territory
  • Previous experience in beverage, food distribution, or CPG industries
