Job description

ROLE

Vancouver Drywall is a growing drywall and interior systems contractor delivering commercial, hospitality, multi-family, and residential projects. Vancouver Drywall works alongside two other companies – Vancouver Paint Group and Hooton Wallcovering. We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator / Project Manager to join our team based out of our Camas, Washington office, with occasional field involvement as needed.

This position is ideal for someone who understands drywall from the ground up and is comfortable managing projects from estimate through close-out, both in the office and on site when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Estimating Perform detailed drywall takeoffs from construction drawings
  • Prepare competitive bids for steel stud framing, drywall board (regular, firerated, shaft liner), insulation, Acoustical installation, fire stopping, taping, and finishing.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify gaps or risks.
  • Price labor and materials accurately based on current market conditions.
  • Track historical job costs to improve estimating accuracy Key Responsibilities.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Review awarded contracts, scopes, and exclusions.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and schedules.
  • Communicate with general contractors, site supervisors, suppliers, and inspectors.
  • Attend job sites as needed for meetings, coordination, and progress reviews.
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, and progress billings.
  • Track job costs and productivity against estimates.
  • Ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years’ experience in drywall estimating and/or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or multifamily drywall systems.
  • Experience with firerated and soundrated assemblies.
  • Excellent plan reading and scope review skills.
  • Experience with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, OST, or similar takeoff software.
  • Excel required; Procore, Buildertrend, or Jonas a plus.
  • Comfortable with occasional site visits and field coordination.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
