Job description

JOB SUMMARY

This position manages an assigned caseload of Drug Court program participants. This position will serveย Camden Countyย Drug Court. This is a thirty-hour-a-week position.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Assist participants in the initial intake process to determine their needs, provide support services, explain expectations and program requirements, provide guidance, obtain signatures, and enter information into theย case management system database.
  • Manages an assigned caseload of Drug Court program participants; coordinates and monitors participant compliance with court mandates; serves as liaison between the court, treatment providers, and participants.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of case files and databases; provides written and oral updates during staff meetings and court sessions; tracks participant compliance with attendance and other program requirements; prepares court reports for all court sessions; prepares quarterly reports as required by the state and grant requirements.
  • Schedules meetings and interacts with program participants to ensure that needs are being met and that progress is being made.
  • Maintains data on participantsโ€™ financial obligations through coordination with the Clerk of Courtโ€™s Office to ensure the accuracy of account balance; documents, posts, and scans receipts into database; ensures that payments are made on a monthly basis.
  • Attends and participates in court staffing and court proceedings.
  • Performs related duties.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  • Knowledge of Drug Court policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS

The Drug Court Administrator assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures and the nature and propriety of the final results.

Guidelines include program and county policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application.

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

  • The work consists of varied case management duties. The unique needs of each program participant contribute to the complexity of the position.
  • The purpose of this position is to participate in the provision of case management services for program participants. Successful performance contributes to the treatment and rehabilitation of program participants.

  • Contacts are typically with co-workers, other county employees, program participants, service providers, probation officers, attorneys, and members of the general public.
  • Contacts are typically to exchange information, resolve problems, motivate people, and provide services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driverโ€™s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
