POSITION SUMMARY:

The Enterprise Diversion Compliance Director leads the enterprise Medication Diversion Program.  The position provides leadership and expertise in medication diversion prevention and controlled substance monitoring.  In addition, this position will proactively manage medication triggers to provide a consistent approach to investigations and gap closures.  This position is focused on development and memorialization of drug diversion related training and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with DEA requirements for Ardent Health Services.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the enterprise regarding controlled substance compliance, Controlled Substance Monitoring, and the Medication Diversion Program, including the development of training, policies, and procedures to support medication compliance
  • Researches and applies best practices to develop and drive innovative solutions across the company to decrease variation in the medication management process
  • Responsible for setting and enforcing consistent, safe and effective approaches for diversion prevention and medication compliance
  • Responsible for leading the Corporate Medication Diversion Committee,
  • Responsible for corporate oversite for Controlled Substance compliance for The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Food and Drug Administration and state and federal laws
  • Direct supervision of corporate medication diversion and compliance team
  • Responsible for leading the strategy of medication compliance audits at the facility level
  • Leads the strategy with key partners in physician, nursing, ancillaries, clinical leadership, informatics, IT (Information Technology), pharmacy, safety, security, risk management, human resources, legal, communications, and compliance to assess, plan, develop, and implement a safe, effective, and reliable infrastructure for the drug diversion prevention program
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Master's Degree or higher.
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in audit, investigation, compliance, or social sciences
    • 5+ years of management experience.
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
