Assistant Transportation Manager

Philadelphia, PA | Honor Foods

Logistics + Transportation Leadership Opportunity 

Honor Foods is looking for an Assistant Transportation Manager to support our daily transportation and logistics operations.

This role is heavily focused on:

  • Logistics coordination
  • Freight movement
  • Transportation operations
  • Driver support
  • Route execution
  • Customer deliveries

We're looking for someone with strong logistics experience who also understands an asset-based transportation environment.


What You'll DoTransportation Operations

Support daily transportation and delivery operations
Help oversee drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators
Monitor routes, delivery schedules, and driver productivity
Assist with truck maintenance and operational issues
Partner with warehouse teams to ensure efficient route departures

Logistics & Freight

Coordinate outbound freight and shipment activity
Monitor shipping schedules and freight movement
Work with carriers, vendors, and internal departments
Review bills of lading and shipping paperwork
Help improve operational efficiency and reduce costs

Safety & Compliance

Support DOT and transportation compliance
Maintain transportation records and operational documentation
Assist with safety initiatives and accident investigations

Leadership

Coach and support transportation and logistics team members
Help drive accountability and communication across the team
Support a positive, fast-paced operational environment


What We're Looking For

Logistics and transportation experience
Strong freight coordination and logistics background
Asset-based transportation experience preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
DOT knowledge preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Microsoft Office experience (Excel & Outlook)
