Drive-Thru Support
Reports to: Retail Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Retail
Location: Guadalupe, AZ (Tempe)
Pay Range: $16.00/hr + Tips
Position Summary:
The Drive-Thru Support is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while meeting operational demands of a quick-service drive-thru environment, prioritizing speed and accuracy. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, from order fulfillment to compliance documentation, all while promoting a welcoming and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for fulfilling consumer drive-thru orders and online pick-ups
  • Responsible for drive-thru go backs
  • May be required to go outside to collect names and get orders ready for drive thru during high traffic times
  • Must be able to greet and check in consumers, verify their status, and report allotments in the POS system.
  • Responsible for providing cannabis education and guidance to consumers.
  • Must assist customers in selecting products efficiently and compliantly.
  • Must be able to process orders and handle payments using POS software with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to operate, maintain, and close the cash register, including reconciliation and deposit tasks.
  • Must maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment for customers and coworkers.
  • May be required to support other departments, including administration and packaging, as needed.
  • Must assist with daily operational needs, including restocking and supporting compliance efforts.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card in accordance with Arizona state regulations.
  • 1+ year of experience in retail, customer service, or a related role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medical cannabis and its consumption methods.
  • Familiarity with Arizona cannabis products and transaction limits.
  • Understanding of state cannabis regulations and dispensary compliance protocols.
  • Ability to operate POS systems and basic software programs.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset.
Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No additional certifications required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for handling products and operating point-of-sale systems.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a cannabis retail dispensary environment.
  • Exposure to strong odors, moderate noise, and customer interaction throughout the day.
  • PPE may be required depending on task or department support.
