Who We Want

The Drayage Operations Specialist will work hand in hand with Business Development and Carrier partners to build, develop, and execute all day-to-day tasks surrounding our drayage Customer and Carrier needs. Drayage Operations Specialists will provide consistent & effective solutions to our internal & external partners. This role will be responsible for playing a key role in daily execution. This includes but is not limited to, supporting BD opportunities, onboarding, booking, & managing key Carrier relationships, and managing daily tracking, customs, & scheduling with facilities, BCOs, & Ports. 

What You'll Do
  • Primary responsibilities

    • Developing and executing all Drayage activities including quotes, appointment confirmation, vessel/rail tracking, carrier selection, compliance with SOPs, document collection and overall customer satisfaction.

    • Execute all aspects of origin/destination management including terminal relationships, empty container management, tracking, controlling, and minimizing demurrage and per diem.

    • Managing the organizational framework to track and update vendor SOP’s including document requirements, container utilization, booking confirmation, cargo ready / earliest receival dates, cargo cut-off date requirements, etc.

    • Managing and executing inbound freight/container tracking including all origin, in-transit, and destination milestones.

  • Additional Responsibilities

    • Driving and leading drayage functions in close cooperation with leadership and Business Development sales teams.

    • Managing and executing performance reporting and analysis of suppliers’ performance, container transit times, and vendor performance.

    • Partnering with Business Development teams to drive business growth and ensure capacity and Customer needs are executed.

Qualifications
  • You are a self-motivated and adaptable individual with at least 1 year of 3PL experience

  • You have strong organizational and time management skills with ability to lead and educate the organization on best-in-class Drayage Operations

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Strong communication skills are required, as the candidate will be interfacing with many different parties each day

  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $68,400, plus bonus and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training.
