Job Description
The Transportation Software Sales Representative will be responsible for assessing the transportation expeditor and freight brokerage market through market analysis and the implementation of a customer acquisition strategy for the transportation expeditor and freight brokerage market to develop and support management sales objectives for CX North America's software. Working knowledge of the transportation market is preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist and collaborate with the management team in the facilitation of company transportation expeditor and brokerage strategies and the development of sales conversion efficiencies.
  • Work with marketing team to develop lead list and directly interact via email and phone with prospects to qualify the expedite and brokerage market.
  • Create and deliver a professional presentation to prospects inside the office
  • Close sales to meet management's expectations and goals • Maintain and update master carrier/broker files, which includes carrier/broker profile, wants and needs, market pricing, and compliance documents.
  • Offer constructive feedback on the current product offered and suggest improvements based on market feedback
  • Assist in determining key price points for both asset based and broker transportation for different product types
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree preferably in logistics or related studies.
  • 1-2 years' experience within expedite or freight brokerage logistics preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in inside sales
  • Knowledge and experience with current expedite and/or freight brokerage logistics techniques, such as customer types, freight acquisition, driver interaction, carrier rate negotiations and freight payment processing.
  • Strong PC skills - Expert using Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge using databases is a must.
  • Strong phone presence, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize and work within a team.
