Job description

SUMMARY
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery, equipment, and building systems by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery, and reviews diagnosis for proper corrective action with other maintenance workers such as mechanics and supervisors.
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial control software: RS Linx, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5 and RS Logix 5000.
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial networking platforms: DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain the following industrial networking platforms: DH+, DH485, DeviceNet, and Ethernet
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with all maintenance department co-workers, outside contractors and vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain advanced controls such as servo, servo amplifier, and servo controllers.
  • Actively pursue and correct problems with electrical components and systems throughout the facility and grounds.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all facility, grounds, and industrial power and electrical systems (low and high voltage).
  • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Diagnose electric motor, motor control, and device control problems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair sensors and solid state equipment.
  • Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints.
  • Capable of communicating both oral and written instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Producing product free of contamination
  • Following all Ken's Foods Security and GMP policies
  • Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
  • Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
