This position is responsible for performing equipment reviews (PM's), machine adjustments, machine configurations, and minor maintenance of the packaging equipment used in the packaging of printed products. The Mechanical Technician must ensure that all assigned packaging lines have the capability of performing at maximum capacity. This position will also perform all duties associated with a make ready or game change over on assigned production lines. This includes, but is not limited to, movement and loading of rolls, machinery set up and adjustment, etc.

Pay/Schedule:

$17.50 per hour with Quarterly Bonus

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday night

7:30 PM-7:30 AM

Job Functions:

• Setup all Packaging Line equipment for the game.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Verify that equipment are running at maximum capacity.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine root cause for non-peak performance.
• Communicate maintenance issues to proper maintenance personnel and request assistance when needed to minimize downtime.
• Assist Material Handler to stage rolls if requirement.
• Assist Machine Operators as needed to maximize output.
• Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• Proven mechanical ability on packaging equipment.
• Ability to work independently and work well with others.
• Experience working with and setting-up packaging equipment in a production environment.
• Able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
